Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Jacqueline's dad Elroy Fernandez, is Sri Lankan. Her brothers are elder, and two younger ones. Parents moved to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan tensions and her birth and education were in Bahrain. Her schooling was completed in Bahrain and she won an Scholarship to at the University of Sydney. There she graduated with a Media and Communications degree. Her passion for languages and cultures led her to join the Berlitz language school where she mastered French as well as Arabic as she learned Spanish. She was also crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and competed at Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she took home the Miss Sri Lanka title. After that, she went into television to host an interview show on Sri Lankan business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew up in Bangalore however, she was born in Copenhagen. As a teenager, she played badminton in the national championships, but she ended her professional career to pursue a career as a model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother tongue is Konkani. Padukone is located in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone has retired as an internationally renowned badminton athlete, while her mother is also a travel consultant.
